During this past half-term, FBB took a team of young people to participate in Yannick Bolaise’s Kicks Cup. It was a 3v3 tournament put together with the Premiere League Communities and aimed at working on skills, teamwork, and having fun. It was a great time for our young people to meet and play teams from all over England and to spend time talking to Yannick himself. Some of the teams who participated were Arsenal, Millwall, Crystal Palace, Everton, and Charlton amongst others. The competition during the tournament was tough and we did not win, however we made new friends and some exciting links for the future.
“It was a great for FBB to be invited to this tournament organised by a Premier League star with so many distinguished football clubs represented. It was refreshing to take part in such an event, that was driven by a great concept and was professionally executed within an inclusive atmosphere. Football should be an expressive art form tapping into people’s inherent creativity. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces shaped by an event that was geared up for what the young people wanted.” Jasper Kain, FBB co-Director.
FBB has previously collaborated with Yannick in the past, when our one of our FBB TV youth participants interviewed him to form a legendary interview!
Check out this video for an inside look at the event! We hope to be a part of this event every year!
Football Beyond Borders is a registered UK charity which uses the power of football to tackle inequality and provide opportunities for young people to achieve their goals and make their voices heard.
"I have been extremely impressed with the high level of football coaching that FBB offer. The sessions are really well thought out for all abilities and really develop the mental and physical attributes required in football."
